In this case study, we collaborate with an Italian company in the fastener industry, engaged in the production of metal components for automotive and related applications. During the deformation processes of steel wire, particularly in the pressing and stamping phases, white smoke containing oily particles is generated. This pollutant was previously managed using third-party electrostatic filters, whose performance proved insufficient due to irregular and poorly structured maintenance. HF was brought in to centralize and optimize the maintenance process, ensuring a professional and traceable service.
HF proposed a comprehensive professional maintenance service for 284 filter cells, organized in four-month cycles. The cells are disassembled weekly (up to 25 per week) and replaced with regenerated units, ensuring operational continuity. Washing is carried out in-house using an industrial washer and eco-friendly detergents, in compliance with environmental standards. Each intervention is tracked through a “Washed Cell Report,” and a monthly online meeting is held with the operational contacts. The service ensures a structured, efficient, and well-documented management of the entire filter fleet.
