VOC and dust treatment in the automotive industry

This case study involves an important company in the tire manufacturing sector, which required an advanced filtration system to reduce emissions from the exhaust stacks of its production lines in order to comply with regulatory limits. The presence of various types of dust and VOC pollutants required a tailored approach. After a thorough analysis of the situation, HF Group developed the most efficient solution.

voc and dust treatment in the automotive industry

Problems

  • Reduce dust and VOC emissions.
  • Ensure compliance with atmospheric emission limits.
  • Install the filtration system on the facility's rooftop without impacting plant operations.
  • Ensure an efficient and easily manageable system for the customer.

Technical features ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER and CARTRIDGE FILTER

  • Cartridges filter (pre-filter stage)
  • Activated carbon filter (final filter stage)
  • Fan and stack
  • Piping collector
  • Dumpers and electrical panel (PLC and SCADA)
  • CO2 fire suppression system
  • Accessories (temperature probe, etc.)
  • Skid structure
Solutions

We handled the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of the entire system. To ensure effective pollutant reduction, HF Group developed a two-stage filtration system:

  1. for the pre-filtration phase and removal of solid particles, a cartridge dust collector was installed;
  2. for the abatement of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), we installed an activated carbon filter.
Advantages
  • Reduction of dust and VOC emissions
  • Improvement of air quality
  • Greater industrial sustainability
  • Compliance with environmental regulations
  • Optimization of operational and maintenance costs
