Dust treatment in the production of wood and metalworking tools

In this case study, HFiltration worked with a leading Polish wood and metalworking tool manufacturer. To meet the precision requirements of their CNC processes, HF developed a custom filtration solution to remove carbide dust from machine chambers and improve machining quality.

dust treatment in the production of wood and metalworking tools

Problems

  • Need to completely remove carbide dust from the machine chamber to ensure process accuracy
  • Complexity in integration with existing exhaust systems, with 3 suction points for each of the two machines currently in use
  • Complex sales process, given the tender process and funding through EU funds

Technical features PC08TS-XL

  • PC08TS-XL unit with C053-XL polyester antistatic cartridges
  • Airflow: 6,000 m3/h
  • TS500 15 kW floor fan
  • Electrical cabinet with inverter
  • SIL-02 HF system, DPLED, PC08-FFA H14
Solutions

HFiltration supplied a PC08TS-XL unit with polyester antistatic cartridges designed to handle an air flow of 6,000 m3/h (1,000 m3/h per machine). The system includes a 15 kW TS500 fan, an electrical panel with inverter, and the ability to monitor parameters via HF Monitoring. A complete piping system was installed, with the filter unit located in a separate room, so as to reduce noise for the operators. In addition, arrangements were made to prevent the suction of small items and facilitate inspection.

Advantages
  • Optimal dust suction
  • Reduced noise in the operating area
  • Return of clean air into the hall, reducing heating costs
