In this case study, we present a project carried out for a company operating in the cosmetics sector, characterized by drying lines that use both organic solvents and water-based processes. The objective of the project was to ensure effective abatement of emissions from the drying ovens, while guaranteeing regulatory compliance, operational safety, and optimization of operating costs.

Water-based oven line
HF Group designed two separate and integrated systems based on the type of emission. For the solvent-based drying ovens, a two-stage VOC abatement system was implemented, consisting of a condenser for the pre-abatement of volatile substances followed by an activated carbon filter for the removal of residual compounds. The system is complete with a dedicated fan and control panel. For the water-based ovens, a wet scrubber was installed, designed to treat emissions through a gas–liquid absorption process, complete with washing tower, recirculation system, and electrical control panel.
