The following case study is about a multinational company, based in Poznan (Poland), a world leader in electronic chemicals and functional materials, focuses on production and sales of lithium-ion battery blends, capacitors, semiconductors and organic fluorine solvents.
Problems
- Electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries are composed of solvents, lithium salt solute, and additives.
- Not all the pollutants were water-soluble.
- The emissions were compliant with the motherhouse’s regulations, but not with European standards.
