Treatment of oil mist in furniture and flooring production
This project represents the third installation carried out for one of our long-standing customer, a leading manufacturer in the furniture and surface materials sector. The facility, specialized in the production of plastic-based flooring panels, required an extraction and filtration system capable of ensuring maximum efficiency without interfering with the production process.
Problems
The thermal welding process used to join the layers of the panels generated:
- Oil mist and smoke dispersed in the working environment
- Health risks for employees
- Contamination of machines and production surfaces
- The need to maintain machine mobility without interrupting the production process

- HEPA H13 filter: efficiency up to 99.95% for particles ≥ 0.3 µm
HF Group designed a customized filtration system for each of the three production lines, ensuring targeted and efficient air extraction. Each line was equipped with a dedicated filtration unit, featuring two fixed hoods positioned above the welding area and two movable suction arms to capture oil mist directly at the source. All hoods are mounted on mobile platforms, allowing flexible positioning to adapt to changes in the production layout. The solution was also engineered to optimize the available space, thanks to a special version of our filters.
